Stem cell therapy for Plantar Fascitis
Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the thick tissue on the bottom of the foot. This tissue is called the plantar fascia. It connects the heel bone to the toes and creates the arch of the foot. Corticosteroids injection is given but it provides temporary pain reduction only but no healing. But the treatment with PRP induces healing of plantar fasciitis. Because the most important cytokines “alpha granules fibroblast” present in PRP which enhance fibroblast migration and proliferation, up-regulate vascularization and increase collagen deposition and overall it affects the healing stages necessary to reverse a chronic plantar fasciitis condition.
